Professionalism, Good Results, Good Communication Say yes to Winters and Chidester Lawfirm. My son was arrested in Williamson County for a serious case. He initially had a court-appointed attorney I had great concerns about. A well-known lawyer in Travis County referred me to this office. The first time I talked with Veronica Chidester and explained his circumstances, I felt heard and I instantly noticed the professionalism, far from what my son had been receiving prior. My son’s anxiety decreased because of her clear and realistic communication with him. That helped our family’s stress level. A long story short, she had multiple meetings with the prosecutor. She sat down and went over videos we provided with the prosecutor and he was able to see a different perspective of the situation. She asked the prosecutor for a no-bill request. She presented a PowerPoint to the Grand Jury and they agreed. She also assisted my son’s lawyer in Travis County with his revocation due to this case. She went above and beyond! If you're doing your research on who to choose as your defense attorney like I was, reading through websites and reviews—look no further! I was specifically looking for an attorney who was a former prosecutor (since they know how prosecutors work) and me being a female, I wanted a female attorney to represent me. Ms. Veronica was amazing to work with. Very personable, empathetic, knowledgeable, and determined. I had never been in a situation with possible charges against me, and Veronica understood how sensitive the situation was and how sensitive timing was as well. She made it a goal to get in front of the prosecutors before charges were filed and she did just that! She was able to get a Rejection of Charges for my case, and I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for her and the firm as a whole.
